BEACHES – Toronto firefighter band “Backdraft” performed at the Opera House this past Thursday April 15th. “Backdraft” along with other bands and groups such as “Calamities” and “Late Shift” performed a benefit concert to raise money for Haiti earthquake relief. BEACHES – One person has been stabbed twice in the back on in the Queen St. and Glen Manor Dr. area. Emergency crews transported the male victim to Mount Sinai Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police is scouring the area for possible suspects as well as for the weapon.

A two vehicle accident involving a police cruiser at the intersection of Queen Street East and Woodbine Avenue early Tuesday morning sent the drivers of both vehicles to hospital with minor injuries.
