Speed A Factor In Finch Ave. Crash
April 22nd, 2010 10:03amNORTH YORK – A 25-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were rushed to hospital early this morning after a spectacular crash on Finch Ave. W. just east of Keele St.
The white Ford Mustang they were in appeared to have been traveling at a high rate of speed before it slammed into a wall. The accident happened just after midnight.
Toronto Fire Services had to extricate the two victims from the vehicle.
The female passenger suffered life-threatening injuries to her head, and the male driver suffered severe injuries to his head and neck. Both were rushed to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center where they remain in critical condition.
Toronto Police Traffic Services was called to the scene to investigate and Finch Ave. W. remained closed until 6am this morning.
