BEACHES – Toronto firefighter band “Backdraft” performed at the Opera House this past Thursday April 15th.

“Backdraft” along with other bands and groups such as “Calamities” and “Late Shift” performed a benefit concert to raise money for Haiti earthquake relief. Approximately $10,000 was raised, according to Alan Cair, one of the organizers of the event.

Captain Mike Strapko was also on hand to join the band in one of their songs.

The members of “Backdraft” are:

Mike Fleming (lead guitar)
Dave McNamara (drums)
Rob Fitzgerald (vocals)
Mark Smalczewski (bass)
