NORTH YORK – Police discovered what appears to be an extensive drug lab today on 21 Evermede Dr., near York Mills Rd. and the Don Valley Parkway.

42 Division officers along with Major Crime Unit had executed a search warrant early morning when they found marijuana and cocaine in the home. A thorough search of the house also revealed the discovery of a meth lab.

A school across the street from the residence was evacuated and classes were canceled for the day.

According to a neighbour who doesn’t want to be named, the house always looked suspicious and occupants never took care of their yards.

Drug squad was called in to investigate and to collect the chemicals from the house.
