NORTH YORK – It took Toronto Fire Services only 30 minutes to knock down an industrial fire on Lawrence Ave. W. near Caledonia Rd.

TFS was called to the blaze at around 2:30pm and found a storage area fully engulfed in flames.

There were reports of one or two explosions, likely caused by some of the materials stored in the unit. No injuries were reported.

The location of the building made it somewhat challenging to fight the fire as the building is located in the rear of other industrial units and next to the train tracks.

Dark smoke from the fire could be seen as far as Scarborough.
