DANFORTH – Three minors were taken into custody today after a failed robbery in the Coxwell Ave. and Gerrard St. E. area.

The three youths attempted to rob a 20-year-old man at around 1:15pm. One of them was armed with a gun. After failing to obtain anything from the victim, the suspects fled towards a nearby apartment complex on Coatsworth Cres. where police made the arrests.

Toronto Police Canine Unit along with the Emergency Task Force were called in to scour the area for the suspects.

The three suspects cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
