SCARBOROUGH – A 69-year-old man has been murdered in a Scarborough rooming house early this morning.

Officers from 41 Division along with EMS were called to Victoria Park Ave. just south of York Mills Rd. at around 4:30am and found the victim with multiple stab wounds to his abdomen.

The victim was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time after.

This marks Toronto’s 4th homicide of the year.

A 20-year-old male considered to be a person of interested was taken into custody at the scene and police are currently questioning him.
