Charges Laid In Fatal Downtown Accident
April 27th, 2009 12:21pmDOWNTOWN – A tragic accident that occurred back on March 25th cut 28-year-old Soraya Nandji’s life short.
A delivery truck was making a right turn from Blue Jays Way onto Front St. when the driver clipped Nandji causing her to fall. The truck’s rear wheels then ran her over.
At the time police did not lay any charges, but the investigation continued and they have now determined that the pedestrian did have the right-of-way.
The 32-year-old driver from Toronto has been charged with Fail to Yield to Pedestrian and will appear in court on July 14th.
