TORONTO – Emergency Task Force, K9, Guns and Gangs Unit, and The Drug Squad were among the Toronto Police forces that took part in a series of raids early this morning.

Some of the addresses targeted were in the Scarborough area of Markham Rd. and Ellesmere Rd. Others were hit in the Leslie Ave. and Sheppard Ave. area.

There may have been as many as 100 locations raided.

Several individuals were arrested but police are not yet giving details in regards to charges laid, although most appear to be drug-related arrests.

The large operation also saw the involvement of OPP, York Regional Police, Barrie Police, Durham Police, amongst others.

Police are expected to provide more details in this large scale operation.
