JUNCTION – For three years, the father and son duo terrorized neighbours. They faced a slew of charges including Criminal Harassment and Mischief.

Felice Scala, 61, and his son Ralph Scala, 36 were placed under arrest back in July 2008 after an investigation, “Project Calzone”, determined that they were responsible for property damage and intimidation.

The targets of these malicious offences were the residents and businesses of their community.

It became a daily occurrence in the Dundas St. W. and Quebec Ave. neighbourhood in the West End. Victims suffered not only from the damage done but from stress and financial loss.

Police from 11 Division have charged Felice Scala with further offences since the initial charges. It is alleged that he began following a woman, causing her to fear for her safety.

Ralph Scala was sentenced on Friday, March 27 after pleading guilty to his 49 charges. He will be released because of time already spent in jail awaiting trial.

He will be placed on probation for three years, during which time he must not be in the area bounded by Bloor St. W., St. Clair Ave., Lansdowne Ave., and Jane St.

He must also stay away from 26 individuals defined in the sentencing.
