On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 9:30 a.m., police responded to a call for a stolen vehicle in the Front Street/Yonge Street area.

It is reported that:

-the owner of the vehicle was making a delivery,
-the owner’s 14−year−old German Shepherd was inside the van,
-upon the owner’s return, the vehicle was stolen.

It is further reported that:

-on Thursday, March 5, 2009, a man drove the vehicle to a gas station on Trafalgar Road, just south of Highway 401,
-the man stole gas and sped off.

The suspect is described as white, 5’8″, 25−35, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, blue jeans, a dark nylon winter coat, with fur trim on the hood, and white shoes with a black stripe.

The 14−year−old German Shepherd has not been located.

Investigators have released security video of the suspect.
