Kingston Rd. Fire – 2 alarm
February 28th, 2009 1:48pmOne man was taken to hospital after attempting to put out a fire in his apartment at 1463 Kingston Rd. on Saturday morning.
A mattress on fire is suspected to be the starter of the blaze that caused about $50,000 in damage, although the exact cause is still under investigation. The entire bedroom had to be gutted by fire crews.
Firefighters used ladders to rescue three people and one cat from floors above.
The occupant of the apartment was taken to hospital with minor injuries. No one else was hurt, including the cat.
